Member Update: HP EB2 - Where are we up to?

Where is our ballot and back-pay up to? This update is about these issues for HP's based on our winning campaign last year.

We hope everyone had a great Labour Day weekend - apologies for the delay in this email update, we had expected notice from QHealth last week to finalise this update but we are still waiting for the final document.

We have finalised all negotiations for our HP2 agreement. We are still awaiting the final copy to come back from QHealth with the correct management titles/ delegations in it in order to send the agreement to ballot.

As HPs we pursued everything in the negotiations and we are satisfied in recommending this agreement as reflecting everything we campaigned for and settled at the end of last year.

Once QHealth have sent the final version it can go to ballot. We want to get cracking and secure back-pay and other entitlements as soon as possible so we are pushing for QHealth to release the draft for ballot ASAP.

Once the ballot is finalised we can certify the agreement and then we get our back-pay.

We all fought really hard to get to 3%, avoid any or all cuts to our conditions and remind QHealth we should not be taken for granted. We, like you, are eager to wrap the ballot up quickly and get on to new challenges.

A lot has been happening for HPs around Appeals, employment security disputes, particularly in areas like cancer services, and the Flett Review being a major concern in pathology just to name a few of the major industrial issues facing HPs. We'll keep you posted!
