HP2 Agreement going to ballot - finally!
Great news! A series of meetings late last week between senior officials of the two unions, the new DDG HR and the Minister has resulted in Queensland Health finally agreeing to put the HP agreement out to ballot.
Thank you for your patience and commitment in developing our HP2 agreement. It has been a very long journey from creating our log of claims through negotiations, work bans, stop works and a one day strike to finally reaching an in-principle agreement.
Queensland Health have finally agreed to send the agreement that was reached between Health and the HP Stronger Together Steering Committee some months back to ballot and we are expecting members to receive their ballot materials shortly.
This will be your opportunity for vote for this agreement.
As a Steering Committee we are extremely proud to have been the representatives of all HP members and of the strength and tenacity of you all in seeing this through. What started out only a 2.5% pay increase per annum and cuts to conditions was turned around to be 3% annual pay increase, no cuts and some improvements.
This draft agreement has been supported by the Steering Committee and Council members of both unions and we encourage members to do the same.
If you have any questions please email hp@qpsu.org.au.
PS: We'll be sending out another update once the ballot is released. When the draft is available please read it carefully to see what it contains. Also, please ensure your mailing address with Queensland Health are accurate as ballots will be sent to your home address.
